Wayne Harvey is in his 17th season as an assistant coach with the Eagles.

During his time at Carson-Newman, Harvey has helped guide the Eagles to back-to-back-to-back South Atlantic Conference Tournament championships, back-to-back-to-back regular season SAC titles and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

In 2009, Harvey was instrumental in guiding the Lady Eagles to a school-record 20 wins on their way to winning the SAC regular season and tournament titles and advancing to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.

Harvey is a graduate of Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. He has been associated with soccer as a coach, player or referee for more than 31 years. He has coached AYSO, as well as at the middle and high school levels. He was a USSF certified referee, officiating AYSO, middle and high school, collegiate and adult club level games. He has also played club level indoor and outdoor soccer.

Wayne is married to Beth and has one son, Derek and his wife Sarah have given Wayne two grandchildren, Madelyne Grace and Layne Walker. He served three years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. After 34 years in both sales and management in the pharmaceutical industry, Wayne retired in 2007.
