JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — A furious second-half rally by the Carson-Newman men's basketball team came up short on Saturday night, as Catawba held on for an 85-75 victory in South Atlantic Conference action at Holt Fieldhouse.

But a 3-pointer by Lee Martin (Mt. Airy, N.C.) gave the Indians the lead for good on the next trip down the floor, as Catawba outscored C-N 20-10 to close out the game.

With the loss, the Eagles fall to 8-10 overall and 5-5 in the conference. Catawba improves to 8-10 on the season and 4-6 in SAC play.
