2015: Carson-Newman's fifth-leading rusher as a junior, battled hamstring issues in his third goaround at Mossy Creek. Jones appeared in seven games and made one start en route to rushing for 276 yards on 47 carries. He averaged 5.9 yards a carry and scored six touchdowns. Jones had a long rush of 25 yards and averaged 39.4 yards per game. He had his best outing against the University of the Cumberlands when he rushed 17 times for 89 yards and a score. After sitting out four straight weeks, Jones only rushed for 50 yards once more in the season, against Brevard when he tallied 58 yards on six carries with a score. Jones found the end zone twice against Valdosta State in the first round of the NCAA playoffs, his only game of the season with multiple touchdowns scored.

2014: Carson-Newman's fifth-leading rusher in his sophomore season. Jones rushed 63 times for 289 yards. He averaged 28.9 yards per game after appearing in 10 games for the Eagles with five starts. He scored four times and averaged 4.6 yards per touch. Jones had his only 100-yard performance of the season at Tusculum (10/18) when he rushed a career high 23 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball 14 times for 53 yards at Catawba (9/27). Jones caught three passes for 53 yards on the season with a long reception of 23 yards coming against Mars Hill (10/4).

2013: Carried the ball five times for 28 yards in his freshman season. His long rush came against Brevard (9/21) - a 14-yarder that gave him his most yards in a game. Carried the ball three times for eight yards against Newberry (11/9).

High School: Lookout Valley High School product from the Chattanooga, Tenn. area. Ran a 4.38 40-yard dash. An all-state, all-district and all-region selection, Jones was named the area's back of the year for his senior season as Lookout Valley made the first round of the playoffs.

Personal: A member of the Lookout Valley Honor Roll and National Honor Society, Jones has perfect attendance his senior year and won an award for an outstanding French Scholar. A peer mediator for his high school. Son of Tracy Barrett and James Jones, his stepfather is Glenn Barrett. He plans to major in business administration.
