JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Adding to a stack of career honors, Matt Bradley was named second-team all-region by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced on Thursday.

The senior right-hander is the 12th pitcher in program history to earn an all-region honor making it back-to-back years after it had been a half decade between stints with Brayden Coe earning the laurels during an All-American campaign in 2021.

Bradley makes its four straight years the program placed a pitcher on an all-conference roster as the right-hander is one of the most consistent hurlers in the league earning second-team honors. The Talbott, Tenn. native went 8-0 with two complete games, a 2.74 ERA fanning 59 batters over 65 2/3 innings pitched. For the year, he ranked third in the league in wins (eight), fourth in WHIP (1.08) and in ERA (2.74), fifth in walks per nine innings (2.19) and fifth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.69) and seventh in hits allowed per nine innings (7.54). On the Carson-Newman all-time ledger, his eight wins are tied for the sixth-most in a single year.

The senior threw his best baseball to close out his career allowing two runs over 28 innings in April fanning 25 batters while allowing four walks and 20 hits to go 3-0 over the final month of the year. The Eagles were 11-2 in his starts in 2022 working at least five innings seven times. In his final start at the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex, the righty shut down a potent Lenoir-Rhyne lineup scattering five hits over seven shutout innings with nine punch outs.

Over his last three starts of the regular seasaon, Bradley did not allowed a run over 16 2/3 innings with 17 punch outs and one walk. Dating back to a Dylan Shugan solo home run to lead off the fourth inning for Limestone on April 2, the flamethrower went 25 innings without giving up a run.

For his career, the Volunteer State native went 18-7 with five complete games, nine saves, a 3.99 ERA, 239 strikeouts while logging 232 1/3 innings on the rubber. The team went 28-9 when he started a game.

The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the school's sports information directors. The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.
