2013-2014: Won the 100 free against Milligan and at the Lenior-Rhyne/Catawba tri-meet, the 200 IM against Limestone. Winning member of the 200 medley relay team against Limestone and Milligan. Member of the 200 medley, 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams that finished fifth at the BMC conference championships.
High School: Swam the 50, 100, and 200-meter free for Bearden High School. Starnes is the 2012 Knoxville city champion in the 100 free, and All-American in the 400 free relay and a four-time qualifier for the state meet. The Bulldogs were the top finishing public school at the state meet each of the last three years.
Personal: Starnes is the daughter of Shana and Brian. She has swimming in her blood; her father swam for the University of Richmond. Starnes is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society. She plans to major in nursing at C-N.
