| Academic Eligibility & Continuing Requirements |
To be eligible for practice, competition, and athletics aid, student-athletes must meet NCAA Division II standards:
- First-Year Eligibility:
-
- 16 NCAA-approved core courses.
- Minimum 2.200 GPA in core courses.
- SAT/ACT scores (if used) must be included in NCAA Eligibility Center profile.
- Qualifier: May practice, compete, and receive aid.
- Partial Qualifier: May receive aid and practice but not compete in year one.
- Progress Toward Degree:

- Enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours).
- Pass 9 credit hours per term.
- Earn 24 semester hours per academic year.
- Declare a major by the start of year three (5th semester).
- Maintain 2.000 cumulative GPA.
| Transfers |
- Two-Year Transfers: Must complete 12 transferable hours/term of full-time enrollment and earn a 2.000 GPA.
- Four-Year Transfers: May be immediately eligible with good academic standing, progress toward degree, and an available season.
- NCAA exceptions and waivers may apply (residence requirement exceptions, organized competition rules, etc.).
| Tryouts |
- Must be arranged through a C-N coach and approved by both Sports Medicine and the Compliance Office via Spry.
- Before trying out, prospects must:

- Complete a physical exam by a U.S. physician within the past six months.
- Sign the NCAA-required sickle cell trait form.
- Complete a release of liability waiver.
