Ticket Policies and Procedures

TICKET SALES: BURKE-TARR STADIUM AND HOLT FIELDHOUSE

All events held at Burke-Tarr Stadium (i.e. Football) and Holt Fieldhouse (i.e. Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Volleyball) will require the use of Athletics’ electronic ticketing system when applicable. Purchases made by phone through the ticket office will also be processed through online ticketing. For information regarding set up, contact the ticket office at (865) 471-3512.

OTHER VENUES

Other venues include but are not limited to: Kazee-Hollifield Softball Stadium, Silver Diamond Baseball Complex, McCown Field at Wayne Harvey Stadium, Buddy Catlett Tennis Complex, and Gary Wyatt Practice Field. Sporting events at these facilities will charge admission at the gate and are subject to use of the electronic ticket system as of the 2018-19 academic year.

UNIVERSITY FACULTY AND STAFF TICKETS

Faculty and staff will receive tickets for their immediate family (limit 5 per family) on a game by game basis from the ticket window/will-call for Football along with Men’s and Women’s Basketball during regular season ticket window hours as well as on game day. Season Tickets can be purchased at half price up to one week prior to the start of regular season play.

Faculty or staff member must be present with C-N ID to redeem complimentary tickets. No exceptions.

STUDENT TICKETS

All Carson-Newman University students are admitted free of charge with a valid student ID for all sports’ regular season home games. Students may purchase one guest ticket at a discounted rate for all Football and Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. Every effort will be made to accommodate seating requests. Guests are welcome to a ticket in the student section; or the student can exchange his or her ticket for one in bleacher seats near his or her guest. Seating subject to availability.

NCAA COMPLIANCE

All ticket policies and procedures, complimentary tickets, and sponsorship tickets must be done with strict adherence to NCAA guidelines.

If in doubt of request’s compliance with NCAA guidelines, please request additional clarification from the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance.

POST-SEASON TOURNAMENT TICKETS

Tournament tickets are made available on a first-come first-serve basis. No discounted or complimentary tickets will be provided to any post-season play in accordance with all Conference and NCAA policies. All tournament tickets are sold at venue gates a minimum of one hour prior to the start of competition. Any additional tournament ticket availability will be communicated as they arise via all currently utilized forms of social media.

TICKET PRICING

The Vice President for Athletics, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, and Director of External Operations will determine all pricing structures for special events held in campus athletic venues.

Prices will be published at the start of each season via social media, EagleNet, at the ticket window, and online at request pages.

GROUP TICKET SALES

Groups numbering ten (10) or more may be allowed, at the discretion of the Director of External Operations, to purchase tickets at a reduced rate. Discounts are only available on advanced sales and are subject to availability.

COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSIONS POLICY

To provide a fair and equitable means of allocation of complimentary tickets, as well as to avoid potential Conference and NCAA sanctions, the Department of Athletics must strictly adhere to the guidelines below when issuing complimentary tickets.

  1.  All requests for complimentary tickets are subject to availability and approval of the Director of Operations/Director of Compliance/Vice President for Athletics.
  2. For auditing purposes, all complimentary ticket requests for all events will go through the ticket office, not each individual sport office.
  3. Complimentary ticket requests must be submitted via Athletics’ online request form within the designated timeframe. Information regarding online forms and request time frames will be communicated to coaches and student-athletes during preseason meeting.

Complimentary Ticket Request Deadlines

Additional tickets must be purchased. Please note that tickets purchased above allotment may not be located next to complimentary tickets. This is subject to availability. Provision is in addition to any existing, written contract agreements.

University staff and students may not receive payment for complimentary tickets and may not exchange them for any item of value. Doing so will result in loss of benefit.

 

STUDENT-ATHLETE TICKETS

A maximum of four (4) complimentary tickets per each regular season home game may be allowed to each competing athlete. Coaches are responsible for compiling a complete sign in book for his or her team. Books must have a student-athlete signed guest list for the season and listed games with four signature lines for each game, completed prior to the start of regular season play. Tickets must be redeemed at designated NCAA sign in table upon presentation of identification and signature one hour prior to the start of competition. Signatures may not be added after start of the season.

PROMOTIONAL SERVICES, ADVERTISING, SPONSORSHIPS

Ticket provisions for promotional services, advertising, and sponsorships are handled on a case by case/contract basis as negotiated by one or more of the following: Athletic Director, Director of SID, Director of Eagle Club and External Operations.

No other faculty/staff member is authorized to dispense tickets in any promotional, advertising, or sponsorship capacity without prior approval.
