2018: Greer capped off a legendary career as an Eagle with a stellar final season. The senior finished in the top-10 in every race he competed in this season included a first place finish at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational and second place finishes at the SAC Championships and the Southeast Regional Championships where he set school records for finishes in an 8k and a 10k, respectively. Not only did Greer receieve All-Conference honors but he was also invited to the D-II National Championships for the second straight year. After finishing in eighth place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Greer become the first Eagle to earn an All-American honor since Carson-Newman moved up to Division II in 1994. The last cross-country Eagle to finish as an All-American was Raymond Farmer in 1989 when C-N was still an NAIA school.

2017: Luke Greer had one of the best season in men's cross country history. The Junior won the Tuculum Open, Asheville Cross Country Invitational and the Allen and Phyllis Morgan Inviational-Battle at Mossy Creek. Greer also finished in the top-five in the South Atlantic Conference Meet and the Southeast Regional Meet. The United Kingdom native was also the first men's cross country runner since 2005 to race in the D-II National Cross Country Championships, Greer finished in 42nd place. Greer was named All-SAC First team and All-Region in his junior season, he also collected a SAC runner of the week honor.
