2022-2023: Lucas competed in the men's 400-yard medley relay at the 2023 NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships with teammates Arthur Gluzman, Asger Hartvig, and Hobson Stelling. The men placed 13^th with a time of 3:14.35 to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors. During the South Atlantic Conference Championships, Lucas swam eight personal best times, placing fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (48.79) and fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:38.30). He placed second in the 100 fly in 50.44 against Georgia Tech and second in the 200 free in 1:40.50 during a dual meet held at the University of Tennessee. Lucas had three first-place finishes on the season.
