JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- Eagles will host Emory & Henry for their last meet of 2022.
Carson-Newman swim welcomes the Emory & Henry Wasps to the MSAC this weekend. The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Maddox Pool.
The Eagles are coming off a successful showing at the Tennessee Invitational in November. Carson-Newman left the invite with over 30 new personal records and three national cuts.
"I'm super proud of these guys. We had some solid swims, but there are always improvements to be made," Carson-Newman head swim coach Ben Young said.
This will be the second meeting between the Eagles and Wasps this season. Carson-Newman traveled to Emory, Va. to open the 2022-23 regular season against the Wasps in late September. Both the men's and women's teams found success against Emory & Henry, leaving with a combined team score of 325-82.
Prior to that meeting, the last time the Eagles faced off with the Wasps was in 2015 when Emory & Henry had only a women's program. Carson-Newman's women took home a 143-62 victory.
"We've been back to the drawing board and made some changes we needed to make. I look forward to seeing us get up and race again, and I hope to see some areas where we have improved and some areas that we need to continue to focus on as we move forward into the rest of the season," Young said.
The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. tomorrow morning in the Maddox Pool.
