2023: Indoor - Smith grabbed a first-place finish in the shot put with 15.09 meters at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational. He finished fourth in the event at the SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships (14.86 m). 

Outdoor - Opened the outdoor season with a third-place finish in the shot put at the Trojan Opener (14.14 m) and grabbed second in the event at the Lee University Invitational (14.98 m) and LR Bears Open with a new personal record (15.14 m). Smith placed fifth in the event at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (14.57 m). 

2022: Indoor - New personal best and 10th-place finish in the weight throw (12.62 m) during the ETSU Track & Field Invitational. 

Outdoor - Smith placed fifth in the shot put during the Electric City Invitational 13.94-meter performance. 

2021: Indoor - Competed in the shot put at two events during the 2021 indoor season. Season-high fifth place finish at the Buccaneer Invitational with a toss of 13.91 meters

Jan. 24, 2021 - KMS Invite - Shot Put - 13.83 meters - 9th

Feb. 5, 2021 -  Buccaneer Invitational - Shot Put - 13.91 meters - 5th

Outdoor - Competed in the shot put and discus during the 2021 outdoor season. Season-high fifth place finish in the shot put (14.61 meters) and 21st place finish in the discus (34.82 meters) at the 2021 SAC Outdoor Championships.

PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: Attended Roane State Community College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Smith was a four sport athlete at Grace Christian Academy, participating for the Rams basketball, baseball, football and track and field squads. He won a conference championship with the football and basketball teams, two conference championships with baseball and was a member of the 2015 state championship baseball team.

PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Melanie Smith. Intends to major in Exercise Science.
