Josh Baker was named Pole Vault coach on Oct. 14, 2021.

Baker is the father of current Eagle Marlee Baker, who finished fourth at the 2021 SAC Outdoor Championships in the pole vault.

Baker was the coach of the first pole vault program at Letcher County High School in Whitesburg, Ky. taking two pole vaulters to the state championships every year from 2014-17 and recording a pair of top-five finishes.

Baker became the pole vault coach at Morristown East High School in 2018, coaching the Hurricanes to their first-ever state apperance in the event.
