Austin Gramann enters his first year as a graduate assistant with the Carson-Newman track & field team. 

 

The Jefferson City, Tenn. native was a force in the hammer throw, discus, weight throw and shot put during his time with the Eagles, recording 17 top-10 finishes across all four events while wearing the orange and blue.

 

Gramann left his mark on the history books during his senior year, breaking the school record for outdoor men's hammer throw that had stood since 1979 with a toss of 44.07 meters at the Montreat Invitational. Gramann demolished his own record at the same venue just two months later at the Montreat Final with a throw of 47.74 meters.
