Sparks to be honored Dec. 3

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman's athletic department will play host to an event Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. in Holt Fieldhouse to honor former Carson-Newman head football coach Ken Sparks. 

Sparks recently retired after 37 seasons and 338 wins as the mentor of the Carson-Newman football program.  
The event is open to the public and the media.  It will feature remarks from Director of Athletics Allen Morgan, Carson-Newman University President Dr. Randall O'Brien and Sparks.
