2019-2020: Ungerboeck's career as an Eagle started off with a bang when she placed third in the CSCAA Open Water National Championships up against DI competition. It was her collegiate debut. It was literally a photo finish between Ungerbock (Vienna, Austria) and the second-place finisher, Texas A&M's Joy Field, as both crossed the finish line at 1:03:55.3 in the women's 5k. Race officials used a feed from a camera aimed at the finish line and determined that Field technically crossed before the young Eagle despite the identical times. Ungerboeck took the fourth fastest 1000-yard freestyle time in program history in a time of 10:44.33 in C-N's dual-meet with Wingate. The newcomer also finished the 1650-yard freestyle in 17.28, a lifetime best and the number two time in C-N history. In C-N's tri-meet with SCAD and Emmanuel, she took home first place in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1000-yard freestyle as well. Ungerboeck earned an All-Conference award for her swim in the 1,650-yard freestyle on the final day of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships. In her National Championships debut, Ungerboeck placed seventh in the 1000-yard freestyle at a time of 10:20,59. She also took seventh in the 500-yard freestyle in the 'A' final.
