Throughout the 2016 volleyball season, freshman middle blocker Alex Biro (Ootlewah, Tenn.) will write about her experiences at Carson-Newman with the volleyball program. A new installment will be released each Monday afternoon. Click each link to follow Biro's musings.

Another weekend on the road is done… thank goodness we have an awesome home game stretch coming up! Tuesday, Friday and Saturday we host Tusculum, Queens and Catawba. Each week at practice is spent working on our mistakes from the weekend prior, and we have some exciting new shots and skills under our belts for the upcoming week.

Our Coker game showed us our competitive spirit once again and the Wingate game, although the score may not show it, was probably the most consistent and well-executed game we have played in a while.

Taking these new feelings and emotions into this week will deliver some fun games for sure! Not to mention some of our new mini-golf skills, thanks to our coaches who surprised with a game of putt-putt on Saturday morning! Let's just say that I am sticking to volleyball. Hope to see all you fans at our games this week!
