C-N cancels Saturday game with Limestone

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Thanks to a rash of injuries within the football program, Carson-Newman has cancelled its Saturday contest with the Limestone Saints.

South Atlantic Conference protocols dictate that programs must have at least six offensive linemen to compete on the football field.  Thanks to seven injuries incurred against UVA Wise and in practice this week, C-N would only have five of its 19 offensive linemen cleared to play for Saturday's game with the Saints.

The Eagles have 51 players featured on this week's injury report.

Carson-Newman will eye April 10 and a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Tusculum for its next contest.
