JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – With rain and a thunderstorm in the forecast for Newberry, S.C., Sunday's tennis match between Carson-Newman and Newberry has been rescheduled.

The match that was originally expected to be the Eagles' conference opener will now be played on March 16 with a 1:30 p.m. first serve at the Oakland Tennis Center on Newberry's campus.

Both teams are now slated to begin SAC competition on March 13 as Lincoln Memorial comes to town for a 1:30 p.m. start. In the meantime, the women's team is still scheduled to take on Converse Saturday, March 10, at the Buddy Catlett Tennis Complex. That match will begin at 1 p.m.
