Eagles Fall in Non-Conference Contest Following Quick Turnaround

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – After a tough match with Catawba on Saturday, Carson-Newman (4-4, 2-1 SAC) failed to bounce back against Lee (5-1, 1-1 GSC), falling 4-1.

The Eagles and the Flames played to clinch on Sunday, and while Lee eventually took the decisive point, Lars Hordijk earned C-N's only point of the day with an impressive win. Despite Hordijk's result, Lee took the other three finished matches to win.

In doubles, Lee secured the point by taking all three matches. C-N kept it close with each decision by no more than three games, but Lee came out on top.
