Rebecca Speight is in her third year as an athletic trainer at Carson-Newman.  She was named Associate Director of Sports Medicine at the start of her third year at C-N.  

She got her Bachelor’s of Sciencein Athletic Training from Liberty University, graduating in 2020. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, graduating with an MBA in Healthcare Administration in 2022.

Before coming to Mossy Creak, Speight served as an intern athletic trainer at Barton College in North Carolina from 2020 to 2022. While at Barton, she covered Men’s and Women’s Swimming along with Softball.

Speight is a certified CPR instructor with the American Heart Association and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.

She has received certifications from the American Heart Association in HearSaver First Aid and has completed the National Safety Council Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
