Davis touted a leap of 14.58 meters to give himself a shot at nationals in the triple jump.  He finished a top the podium for the meet.  Right behind Davis was teammate Randall Freeman, who moved to fourth in the triple jump in the region with a 14.47-meter leap.

Davis, Freeman as well as Tiana Mills all set personal bests for the triple jump.  Mills had a first-place leap of 11.65 meters. 

Mills also broke her own school record in the long jump with a 5.75-meter bound. 

"Some of our marks today probably aren't good enough to get us to nationals," head track and field coach David Needs said. "But our athletes left everything on the track today.  Many of them achieved things they hadn't done before this year.  For that, I'm very proud of them."

Tanner Stepp and Kristin Chapman both held steady in the high jump.  Stepp springed for a 2.08-meter leap while Chapman registered at 1.67 meters.  Samantha Gudger finished behind Chapman with a 1.62-meter jump.
