Jefferson City, Tenn. – Two Carson-Newman Lady Eagle runners have made the SAC's preseason all-conference teams.

Hannah Reese (Brandon, Miss.) takes home first team honors, while Meredith Nix (Walhalla, S.C.) earned a spot on the second team.

Reese was the only C-N runner named to last year's All-SAC team.  She finished seventh at the SAC Championships in Morristown, Tenn. with a time of 20:34.5.  Reese was the top finisher at the Maryville Invitational and finished in the top three at the Citadel Invite.

Meanwhile, Nix garnered two-top ten finishes and four top 20s in 2011.  Notably, Nix and Reese helped the Eagles finish fourth in the SAC Championships.  They also helped C-N win one meet and finish as runners-up in two others. 

The Carson-Newman women were picked to finish fourth in the SAC preseason poll.
