Baseball moves series versus Wise up a day

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With the threat of impending rain on Sunday, Carson-Newman and UVA Wise have decided to push the series up a day with action starting on Friday at noon and wrapping up on Saturday at noon. Both days will feature doubleheaders to complete a four-game South Atlantic Conference series.

The Eagles are coming off of a four-game split with No. 7 Catawba, the first time the program did not drop a series to a nationally-ranked team in its Division II history returning to the friendly confines. Coach Tom Griffin's group has a winning record in each of the last six seasons at home with a mark of 100-51.
