LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Once again, freshman runner Lachlan Dickie (Knoxville, Tenn.) set the standard for the Carson-Newman cross country team.

Dickie placed sixth overall at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky. as the men's team finished in 28^th-place and the women's squad placed 33^rd. Over 40 teams competed in the race.

Freshman Tori Gaul (Salisbury, N.C.) paced the women with a time of 20:29.42.

"We're in a great spot to be where we want to be for conference. Everyone had great spots. We are in a great spot to build this program where we want it to go," coach Tony Parrilla said.

Junior Patrick Stump (Leesburg, Va.) placed 149^th and sophomore Alec Bross (Charlotte, N.C.) finished in 161^st.

On the women's side, junior Hannah Kiser (Cedar Parks, Texas) finished in 125^th and sophomore Sara Honaker (Mason, Ohio) placed in 231^st-place. 

The Eagles return to action next Saturday at the McAlpine Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
