Baseball to host winter prospect camp in December

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman head baseball coach Tom Griffin's announced the dates for the Winter Prospect Camp for Dec. 3-4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for 9th to 12th graders. The camp will be held at the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex located at 731 Davis Street.

This prospect camp is for the serious player intending to play college baseball. Campers will learn different techniques and drills in all facets of the game to take them to the next level. Evaluations will be conducted throughout the camp.

The camp will be led by Griffin along with his current coaching staff, college and high school coaches and current Carson-Newman players. 

Griffin has 27 years of coaching experience at the college level. He has been a catching instructor and speaker at various camps and clinics. Griffin is the producer of "Catch It, Block It, Throw It," an instructional catching video.  In 2007 and 2012, Griffin's catching coaching skills were on display as the featured speaker at the ABCA Coaches Convention.

The cost to attend is 150 dollars.
