JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman baseball team opens the 2017 regular season Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. on the road against North Georgia looking to hold up the South Atlantic Conference Tournament trophy at Smokies Park debuting its hype video Friday morning.

Coach Tom Griffin enters his 12th season at Mossy Creek leading a crop of players that returns seven regulars in the field and has a wealth of options on the mound.

Seeking to replace all-reigon picks Vince Apicella and Brandon Roberts the Eagles have four preseason All-SAC picks 

First pitch is set for 3 p.m. versus the Nighthawks while the home opener is scheduled for Feb. 10 against UVA-Wise. All games will be broadcast on cneagles.com/live with a pregame show featuring interviews with players and coaches.
