Baseball shimmies series with Tusculum to Sunday and Monday

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With rain and thunderstorms in the forecast early in the weekend, Carson-Newman and No. 12 Tusculum have decided to push the start of their four-game series back 24 hours. The two programs are now slated to square off on Sunday and Monday with first pitches each day starting at noon with a doubleheader a day.

The Eagles are coming off of a four-game series sweep of Lincoln Memorial to run their home winning streak to 13 games, the longest such mark since hitting that tally in 2010. C-N has won 14 of its 15 home affairs so far in 2021 touting a club that is hitting .340 inside of the friendly confines with a team earned run average of 3.34.

Tusculum enters the weekend sitting in first place in the league standings holding a two-game lead on Catawba. No club has scored more runs in league action than the 221 by the Pioneers with Lenoir-Rhyne being the next closest with 181 in the same 24-game period.

Each of the four games in the series will air on cneagles.com/live with audio and video streams available for fans interested in staying up to date with each and every single pitch. Enjoy the coverage courtesy of the Eagle Sports Network.
