Weather forces changes to C-N's SAC tournament games for baseball and softball

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Thanks to a truck load of precipitation that has blanketed the Lakeway Region Saturday morning, Carson-Newman's SAC tournament games for baseball and softball have been altered.

Carson-Newman baseball will challenge Wingate at 10:30 p.m. Saturday night as opposed to the original first pitch time of 6:30 p.m.  SAC Baseball tournament games must start by 10:30 p.m. So any further delays, or even lengthy games between Coker/Tusculum or Newberry/Catawba could force the Eagles' and Bulldogs' winner's bracket contest to Sunday.  

Meanwhile, Carson-Newman softball's semifinal contest against top-seeded Lincoln Memorial has been moved to Sunday at 11 a.m.
