JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - When the 2021 schedule was released, Carson-Newman saw nearly two vacant weeks on tap in mid-February. Coach Tom Griffin announced late Sunday night that will no longer be the case with the program adding three games on two days at home this week to make up for early season affairs canceled due to weather.
The Eagles will host Lee on Wednesday at 2 p.m. before welcoming Newberry on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at noon. It will give the Orange and Blue an opportunity to get some final preparations before No. 8 Catawba awaits for a four-game series to start South Atlantic Conference play on the penultimate day of the second month of the calendar year.
