JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman has postponed its scheduled contest with Catawba and moved up a matchup with Queens to fill the void left by the Indians for a 5:30 tip Wednesday.
Catawba entered the South Atlantic Conference's CoVID-19 management protocols Monday evening, freeing up Wednesday for the Eagles. Queens had Wednesday open as well following Anderson's entering the league's CoVID management protocols.
No fans will be allowed in the venue and the contest is scheduled pending the results of both Queens and Carson-Newman's CoVID testing protocols.
This will be the only meeting between the Eagles and Royals this year. The contest takes the place of the squad's previously scheduled matchup on Feb. 6. That date is now open for Carson-Newman's men.
The Eagles make-up date with Catawba has yet to be determined.
Carson-Newman's women's schedule is not impacted by the move at the time of this writing. The Lady Eagles will resume play with Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday at 2 p.m. and take on Queens as scheduled on Feb. 6 at 2 p.m.
