JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman's men's basketball team has added a non-conference contest with UVA Wise on Dec. 5 and rescheduled games against Anderson and Mars Hill.
Meanwhile, Carson-Newman's women's basketball team has shifted it's makeup date against Anderson. The Lady Eagles and Trojans were originally scheduled to play Nov. 28 and backed that contest up to Dec. 19. However, subsequent postponments due to CoVID-19 around the rest of the league left an opening for both teams on Dec. 9. Carson-Newman's women's basketball team and Anderson will meet inside Holt Fieldhouse that day at 5:30 p.m.
On the men's side, the Anderson game originally scheduled for Nov. 28 has been moved to Dec. 16. Tipoff between the Eagles and Trojans will be set for 4 p.m. Furthermore, the Eagles contest against Mars Hill originally scheduled for Dec. 5 has been moved to Dec. 10 at Mars Hill. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m.
That postponement coupled with UVA Wise's postponement of a game with Lincoln Memorial on Dec. 5 opened the door for the Eagles and Cavaliers to meet inside Holt Fieldhouse. Tipoff between the two teams for a non-conference contest will be at 2 p.m.
In accordance with public health guidlines surrounding the CoVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited to 305 people at Carson-Newman home basketball games during the 2020-21 season. For more information, click here for full protocols.
