JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (6-5) looks to break a three-game skid, welcoming North Greenville (6-4) to The Vick for a twin bill on Tuesday afternoon.
C-N is coming off a tough two-game trip to Greenwood, South Carolina, where it dropped two games to Peach Belt foes USC Aiken and Lander.
Despite tying the game on two separate occasions, the Pacers used a timely two-run home run late to gain the decisive advantage. Against Lander, the Eagle pitching staff allowed just two hits, but the Bearcats arms held the C-N offense at bay en route to a 4-0 win.
The Trailblazers come into the midweek matchup after an up-and-down start through ten games. North Greenville sits at 6-4, dropping its last two games, but the Trailblazers hold impressive wins over Anderson, Augusta, Lock Haven University, USC Aiken, and UVA Wise. Through the first five doubleheaders, the only non-split came in a sweep over the Trojans.
