The Blue Bantus take a 2-1 series lead

Jefferson City, Tenn. - The Blue Bantus scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to give them an 8-6 win over Haeberle's Juicemen.

Hunter Dodson came in only needing three outs to close the game for the Juicemen. Dodson gave up a leadoff walk to Joey Sellito, Paul Kirby singled in the next at bat, followed by another walk to Brendan Campbell.

With the bases loaded Ethan Goforth grounded the ball to second base bringing Sellito around to score, Goforth would be eliminated on the base paths after attempting to steal second.

Greg Jones came up to bat next and was down to his final strike before Dodson hit him with the pitch, Ryan Eberle would come in to pitch run for Jones. Dodson would then give up three consecutive singles to Will Findley, Hunter Sales, and Konnor Ambrose.

Austin Conner would come in to finish the inning, but not before the damage was done.

The Juicemen got on the score board first with RBI singles from Gooch Greer and Logan Peterson.

The Bantus would tie the game in third inning with a Paul Kirby two run homerun over the left wall.

In the bottom half of the third Cade Snapp would belt a two run homerun of his own to break the tie and later in the inning Gooch Greer would have an RBI double to give the Juicemen a 5-2 advantage.

The Bantus would score another run in the top of the fourth, and they would not score again until the seventh inning.

In the bottom of the fifth inning Brett Langhorne had an RBI single to give the Juicemen a 6-3 advantage over the Bantus.

Hunter Sales lead the Bantus offense going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs batted in. Cade Snapp lead the Juicemen with three hits and a homerun.  

Ranuel Perez picked up the win for Bantus throwing three innings, allowing one run off of three hits. Hunter Dodson picks up the loss for the Juicemen.

Game four of the Orange and Blue World Series will be on Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.
