Jackson shoots 75 for round one in the Aflac/Cougar Invitational

Columbus, Ga. - Carson-Newman junior Rafael Jackson (Rutledge, Tenn.) shot a 75 (+4) Monday after the first round of the three round, two-day Columbus State Invitational hosted by Columbus State University.

Due to inclement weather, round two was postponed to day two.  Golfers will play the second and third rounds Tuesday.

The Eagles stand in 15th place for the first round, which put them 20 strokes behind first place team Florida Southern.

Junior Jonathan Kim-Moss (Mississauga, Canada) ended the day with a 6-over-par 77, tying him for 36th. Gavin Hay (Glasgow, Scotland) tied for 50th at 77. Michael Horenkamp (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Chase McCown (Sevierville, Tenn.) shot 78 and 80 for the day.

Round two of the Aflac/Cougar Invitational will begin tomorrow with players teeing off at 9 a.m.  The third round will follow after the conclusion of the second.
