CoVID issues put Saturday football game with Mars Hill on hold

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Due to Mars Hill's football team entering the South Atlantic Conference's CoVID management protocols, the Eagles and Lions will not meet on the football field Saturday at 7 p.m. at Burke-Tarr Stadium.

A potential make up date has not been set at this time.  

Carson-Newman football will eye a home opener on March 27 against Limestone at 1 p.m.  The contest will be available on the Eagle Sports Network at cneagles.com/live and over the air waves on The Mountain 106.3 (WPFT-FM, Sevierville).  

The Eagles started the Mike Clowney era 1-0 following a 40-37 four-overtime win Saturday at UVA Wise.
