JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman's football program has set four camps aimed at players from elementary school through high school throughout the month of June.

The camps kick off June 7-8 with a two-day youth skills camp. The camp runs 9 a.m. - noon each day and is for players rising first grade through rising fourth grade.

The Youth Skills Camp is followed by a Middle School Skills Camp June 9-10. The camp is also from 9 a.m. - noon each day and is for players rising fifth grade through eighth grade.

Both of these camps are designed to help  players enhance their knowledge, position specific skill and safety techniques by teaching solid fundamentals in an encouraging environment.

Players will need to bring a water bottle, T-shirt, socks, cleats, sneakers, sunscreen, and money for concessions or a light snack.  Please mark all belongings. Players will receive instruction from career coaches, camp T-shirt, certificate of completion and a better understanding of how to play the game in a safe manner.

The cost to attend either camp is 60 dollars.

The following week, Carson-Newman will play host to its annual offensive line camp and one-day camp.

The o-line camp runs June 14-16.  The one-day camp is set for June 16.   Both camps are for high school players.

The offensive line camp features a day camper and overnight camper.

Day Camper: $185 (Includes OL camp fee, meals, OL Camp T-shirt, one day camp fee)

Overnight Camper: $225 (Includes OL camp fee, lodging for two nights, meals, OL Camp T-shirt, one day camp fee)

The Carson-Newman O-Line Technique Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level.

This camp will focus on the fundamentals using high repetition drills. Camp sessions will focus on footwork, technique, speed, and overall football knowledge. Practices will include, but are not limited to, one-on-one instruction, fundamental groups, specific position drills, and competitions.

Coaches will work to match campers from the same school in the same groups, which will allow an extra three days to build continuity between teammates. The goal is for each participant to leave camp with a larger foundation of the fundamentals of offensive line play.

Coming to the offensive line camp also grants one access to the one-day technique camp and is included in the cost of the o-line camp.

The Carson-Newman One Day Camp works to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level and exhibit their abilities to multiple college coaching staffs.

This camp will give players the opportunity to get tested multiple events that will showcase speed, agility, strength, and body size. The one-day camp will provide instruction and an introduction to drill work that can be used throughout the course of the season and off-season.

The camp will also have competition against other campers to allow for the implementation of drill work.

The one-day camp begins at 9 a.m. Campers should bring a football helmet with mouthpiece, cleats, gym shoes and water bottle.
