KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Carson-Newman senior defender Matthew Finlay (Liverpool, England) and junior forward Robert Hill (Middlesbrough, England) have been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II All-Southeast Region teams, NSCAA officials announced Tuesday.

Both Finlay and Hill received second team honors. They helped guide the Eagles to a share of the South Atlantic Conference regular season title, as C-N finished the year at 12-5-1 overall and 8-1 in conference play.

Finlay, who was also a second team Daktronics All-Southeast Region and first team All-SAC selection this season, anchored a C-N defense that produced four shutouts and allowed 27 goals in 18 matches. He also scored one goal.

Hill, who also earned second team Daktronics All-Southeast Region honors, led the conference in shots (78), was third in points (27) and fifth in goals scored (11). He had three match-winning goals and produced a hat trick in a 4-2 conference win at Lenoir-Rhyne.

The NSCAA All-Region teams are voted on by the head coaches of each of the respective regions in Division II.
