Moodie Adds Four New Assistants to Coaching Staff

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – Carson-Newman head men's and women's soccer coach Richard Moodie announced the addition of four new assistants to his staff.

Marissa Williams, Rob Ward, Kavi Luchowa and Jason McMillan will all be helping Moodie guide  C-N soccer in 2016.

Williams, a native of Canton, Michigan, joins the staff after a highly-decorated career at Tusculum, where she spent four years as the Pioneers goalkeeper. Williams holds the school records for shutouts and saves. She was also selected to the NSCAA All-Region team multiple times, was an All-Conference player as a senior and was named Academic All-District by the CoSIDA.

Rob Ward is a former collegiate defenseman who spent his final three seasons at Trevecca Nazarene. Ward played in 49 games as a Trojan and didn't miss a match during his final two years. He totaled 10 goals and seven assists over his career there and his five goals during 2014 were the second most on the team. Ward is originally from York, England.

Kavi Luchowa might be a new member of the coaching staff but he's someone every C-N soccer fan is familiar with, as he spent his previous two years as the Carson-Newman goalkeeper. Luchowa helped the team reach the NCAA Tournament last season by posting six shutouts, the fifth most in a single-season in Eagles history. He also earned a selection to the South Atlantic Conference Second-Team. His 10 career clean sheets and 1.47 goals against average are third in Carson-Newman history.

McMillan, whose hiring was first announced in May, is a former C-N player who once held the record for games played in a season. In 2005, McMillan was a part of the only team in program history that swept both the regular season and tournament titles.
