Carson-Newman nixes season-opening weekend at Charger Chillout

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The start of Carson-Newman softball's season is on hold as the Eagles enter into the South Atlantic Conference's CoVID management protocols.

The Eagles were originally scheduled to open the year at the Charger Chillout - a tournament in Huntsville, Ala. - on Feb. 5-6 against Union, West Alabama, Shorter and Delta State.  Those contests against those specific teams will not be made up.  

Carson-Newman will now take aim at a season-opener at the Vickee Kazee-Hollifield Softball complex on Feb. 13.
