BOONE, N.C. – The Eagles' track and field teams traveled to Appalachian State University Saturday to compete amongst several Division I colleges from across the south at the Mountaineer Open Indoor Track Meet.

Shauntae Miller, the sister of Bahamania Olympian Shaunae Miller led the way in women's sprinting events, taking first-place in two of her three events. In the 400m dash, Miller posted a time of 58.76, and in the 200m dash, 26.63. Miller also earned 2^nd in the 4x400m relay (4:30.33) along with Madison Pickel, Anna Bauder, and Cassie Smith.

Sophomore Jessica Azor placed first in the women's high jump with a leap of 1.62m. She and Tiana Mills tied for 1^st in the women's long jump, respectively.

From the men, the 4x400m relay team, featuring Cassadine Blassingame, Aaron Seward, Brandon Lindley and Christian Robinson finished first. Blassingame also led the way in men's field events with his first-place mark of 7.11m in the men's long jump.  Blassingame bested his NCAA provisional mark of 7.05 from last week's Tiger Indoor. Freshman TJ Davis took 3^rd in the same event (6.77m).

The men's 4x300m relay posted a time of 2:32.25, giving them 2^nd place.

The Eagles break for a week before hitting the track again.
