HICKORY, N.C. – The Carson-Newman men's and women's track and field teams completed day-two of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championships in 5^th and 6^th place, respectively. 

Freshman Tiana Mills earned 2 gold medals, finishing first in both the women's long jump yesterday and the triple jump finals today. Junior Shauntae Miller set a personal best in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.07, finishing in second-place and taking home a silver metal. Miller's time set a new school record for the event.

The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Jessica Azor, Jaa'leah White, Shauntae Miller and Madison Pickel finished in forth-place in their respective event. The same group of athletes competed in the 4x400 relay, finishing in forth-place as well among fellow SAC teams.

Junior Darius Childs finished in third-place in the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.91. Freshman Christian Robinson also finished in third-place in the men's 400 meter hurdles. The men's 4x100 meter relay team of Jason Williams, Devin Thomas, Luther Walker and Anthony Ball finished in forth-place with a time of 42.51.

In men's field events, freshman TJ Davis added to his wins yesterday, finishing in first-place in the triple jump with a leap of 47' 6 ½". Senior Luther Walker followed close behind in third with a 45' ½" mark. Randall Freeman earned second-place in the men's shot put.

The Carson-Newman women finished in sixth-place overall with 53.50 points. The men's team finished in fifth overall with 87 points.
