Blassingame gets SAC field athlete of the week honor

ROCK HILL, S.C. – After setting the Terrier Relays meet record in the long jump, Cassadine Blassingame has been named the SAC field athlete of the week. 

Blassingame leapt 7.24 meters to take first in the event.  He also collected a fourth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 13.63 meters. 

Blassingame is the second track and field athlete to win athlete of the week honors from the SAC this year.  Tiana Mills earned the inaugural female athlete of the week honor two weeks ago. 

The Eagles are in action this weekend at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville.
