HARTSVILLE, SC – Carson-Newman (4-5-3, 2-3-2 SAC) tied Coker (3-10-1, 0-7-1 SAC) 0-0 after two overtimes Saturday afternoon.

"We didn't deserve to win, and we didn't deserve to lose," Carson-Newman head soccer coach Richard Moodie said. "It was the fairest result you could come up with."

The Cobras outshot C-N 16 to 12. However, the Eagles placed 10 shots on net while Coker had eight.

Senior captain Tiarna McKenna (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) moved up to seventh in the conference for saves with 48. She has a save percentage of .750 landing her the 10^th position in the SAC.

"It was a disappointment to travel all this way with such high expectations for this team and fall short with this result," Moodie said. "But any result is better than no result."

Danna Stringle (Woodstock, Ontario, Canada) led the Eagles in shots having taken five, four of which were on frame. Raquel Pimentel (New Port Richey, Fla.) released three shots with two on goal.

For Coker, Millie Rogers took four shots and placed one on net and Jalynn Fortt had three shots with two on target.

"We didn't drop the game," Moodie said, "but we didn't play to our potential."

Stringle leads C-N in shots taken with 38 and is second with shots on goal with 16. Junior captain Sidnee Edwards is second in shots with 27 but leads in shots on goal with 17.

Freshman Gabrielle Gianeselli (Knoxville, Tenn.) tops the Eagles in overall points with 11 tying her for 14^th in the SAC.

"We're scared this may come back and haunt us," Moodie said. "But we have four conference games left so we'll just have to see where it takes us."

The Eagles continue conference play on the road at Mars Hill Wednesday at 5 p.m.
