Lady Eagles roll through King, 9-0

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles made short work of shorthanded King, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the C-N Tennis Complex.

C-N won three matches by default and had little resistance in the six played matches to move to 2-2 on the year.

Freshmen Jennifer Ott (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Erin Green (Lexington, S.C.) combined to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, while sophomores Katie Brown (Douglasville, Ga.) and Devon Jennings (Summertown, Tenn.) shutout the Tornado at No. 2 doubles, 8-0.

Green, Ott, and Brown all won singles matches, along with junior Megan Wilson (Maryville, Tenn.) as the Lady Eagles played their final match before opening conference play.

C-N will travel to Anderson (S.C.) on Friday afternoon in its 2012 South Atlantic Conference opener.
