Eagles Earn Third Consecutive SAC Win, Edge Coker

HARTSVILLE, SC – In a tight match, Carson-Newman (5-5, 3-2 SAC) earned its third consecutive conference win, taking two of the final three singles matches to defeat Coker (6-6, 2-4 SAC), 4-3.

Despite dropping two of the first three matches in singles, the Eagles bounced back with a Summer Reeves win in No. 3 singles, and freshmen Sindija Manovska and Leah McBride earning wins in No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively.

No. 4: Emerson Banning (Coker) def. Suryanshi (C-N), 6-3/6-1

No. 5: Sindija Manovska (C-N) def. Tamara Macias (Coker), 6-1/6-2

No. 6: Leah McBride (C-N) def. Caroline Myers (Coker), 6-2/7-6

C-N secured the point in doubles, taking two of three. The all-conference pairing of Natasha Forrest and Summer Reeves earned a win in No. 1 doubles, while the freshman duo of Leah McBride and Suryanshi dominated in No. 2 to earn the point for the Eagles.
