Pair of Eagles inside the top-25 after day one on Lake Cumberland

LAKE CUMBERLAND, Ky. - A pair of Eagles sit inside the top-25 after day one of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Classic.

Braden Perry and Aidan England lead Carson-Newman, hauling in five fish for a total weight of 13 pounds, 11 ounces to grab a 17th place spot early.

Teammates Griffin Heffington and Drake Hemby sit behind them at 21st catching five fish for 13 pounds, eight ounces. 

Jacob Lambert and Austin Smith caught three fish for nine pounds, 13 ounces, while Cole Rankin and Ewing Minor also reeled in a trio of fish for nine pounds, four ounces.

Caz Anderson and Lee Rose Koza hauled in three fish for seven pounds, 14 ounces, and Ben Cully and William Gaddis caught three fish for six pounds, 11 ounces.

Jacob Frazier and Maddux Walters round out the field for Carson-Newman, catching two fish for a weight of five pounds, 15 ounces.

The Eagles will have a chance to move up the leaderboards on Saturday, May 1, for day two of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Classic on Lake Cumberland.
