LAY LAKE, Ala. – Carson-Newman sees a pair of top-100 finishes after two days on Lay Lake in Alabama. The Eagles were once again led by the pair of Caz Anderson and Storm Cline.

After two days on the water, Anderson and Cline reeled in a combined 10 fish for a final weight of 20 pounds, four ounces. The pair finished 31st in the event behind Cole Thompson and Walker Sahagun of North Alabama and ahead of Matt Short and Colton Combs from Eastern Kentucky.

C-N also saw a 75th place finish by Drake Hemby and Griffin Heffington on Lay Lake. Together, the duo reeled in eight fish for a two-day weight total of 12 pounds, six ounces. This give the pair a finish about Hunter Haraway and Malcom Patton of Calhoun Community College and right behind the Campbellsville pair of Dustin Bauer and Cody Cissell.

All four Eagles along with the rest of the Carson-Newman fishing club will start preparation for the Fall 2021 season in hopes of working their way to a high finish in the School of the Year rankings.
