HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Carson-Newman forward Antoine Davis (Rustburg, Va.) and guard Ish Sanders (Cleveland, Tenn.) have been named to the DAKTRONICS' All-Region teams.  Davis lands on the first team and Sanders on the second team. 

Davis' appearance on the all-region first team is his second.  Sanders, meanwhile, garners his first all-region accolades. 

Davis was fifth in the South Atlantic Conference in scoring with 19.1 points per game. 

He has scored more than 20 points on 15 occasions this season. He's hit 29 points on two occasions, both against Anderson.  He has six games with 25 points or more this year.  The reigning South Atlantic Conference player of the year has 16 games with five or more rebounds and six games with five or more assists.

The Eagles are unbeaten this year when he drops five or more dimes a year.  Davis is a two-time first team All-SAC selection and earned All-American honors a year ago. 

Ish Sanders is third in the conference in scoring with 20.0 points per game. 

He has moved into the top five on both Carson-Newman's and the South Atlantic Conference's all-time scoring lists.  He leads the league with 2.0 steals per game.  Sanders has crested the 30-point mark on three occasions and has been selected a SAC Player of the Week. 

He has 15 20-point games this year and has scored double figures in all but two games this season.  Sanders is more than just a scorer, dishing out at least five assists on seven occasions.  He produced a career high six steals against Mars Hill.  Produced a season high seven assists against Lee-McRae.  He ranks second in the league with 3.2 made threes per game and he leads the league among players who have played more than 20 games in FT percentage at 90.9 percent. 

Sanders and Davis will face off against the region's player of the year in Vincent Bailey of LMU in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
