Eagles 13th after 18 Holes at Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Carson-Newman Eagles are in 13th place after the first round of the 2010 Richard Rendleman Invitational played Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.

The Eagles combined to fire a 302 (+14) to finish ahead of two South Atlantic Conference schools. Lander University leads the tournament at 5-under par (283).

Freshman Gavin Hay (Glasgow, Scotland) is in 15th after 18 holes. He fired an even-par 72.

Junior Adam Holt (Liverpool, England) and sophomore Liam Ashby (Dublin, Ireland) are each tied for 44th after shooting a pair of 4-over 76s.

Junior Chase Conn (Mason, Ohio) is in 58th after shooting a 78.
