Mother Nature necessitates change to softball schedule, again

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - For the 11th time this season, Mother Nature has caused some sort of change to Carson-Newman's softball schedule.

Carson-Newman softball's doubleheader against Mars Hill, originally scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill, has been pushed back 24 hours and will be played Wednesday thanks to a forecast rife with rain on the original date of competition.

The Eagles have seen four straight series altered in some form or fashion, either by day or by time, due to perilous precipitation.

Carson-Newman has won seven consecutive games and is 21-7, 2-0 in the SAC.  Mars Hill is 7-17 and 0-2 in the league. The Lions were swept by Newberry to open up league play 9-1 and 7-1.

The Eagle Sports Network will carry the games. The audio stream is located at cneagles.com/live.
